The filter comprises an outer cylinder with a lower base through which water to be filtered passes tangentially, using centrifugal force in order to separate the high density particles. The liquid follows a helical path and passes through various different filter devices, such as meshes and rings. Finally, the filtered and cleaned water is collected in a suitably perforated central tube which projects from the filter at the center of the lower base.
