A non-dissipated amount of heat Q?AD? is calculated on the basis of these values which in the case of a spontaneous adiabatic reaction would result in an increase in the internal temperature and the internal pressure of the reactor. A check is carried out whether the potential adiabatic temperatures and pressures are always within the predetermined upper limits. If said upper limits are exceeded, the addition of monomers to the reactor is slowed down or stopped.
