The composition comprises photoabsorbing substances which are susceptible particularly of protecting the glass against ageing due to solar light, which subtances absorb wave lengths in a first predetermined range. The polymerization of said composition is activated in a second predetermined range of wave lengths longer than those of the first range, particularly by radiation with a mercury/lead lamp.

Disclosed is an air-drying coating substance (100 percent system) which is free of organic solvents and can be hardened in a radical or cationic manner by means of actinic radiation. Said coating substance contains (A) at least one solvent-free, air-drying alkyd resin having an oil length of 20 to 60 %, wherein 45 to 65 equivalent percent of the olefinically unsaturated double bonds contained in the unsaturated fatty acid radicals are conjugated. Also disclosed are methods for the production of the inventive coating substance and the use thereof for producing adhesive coatings.
