    Abstract: The production of epoxy resin compositions comprising glycidyl ether with cyclohexyl groups and having a low oligomer content is achieved by the distillation of compositions, which can be obtained by means of core hydrogenation of compounds of the general formula (I) with -X- -CR2-, -CO-, -O, -S-, -SO2-, R being independently of each other H, C1-6-alkyl, C3-6-cycloalkyl, wherein one or more H can be replaced by halogen, R' independently of each other being C1-4-alkyl, halogen n independently of each other being 0, 1, 2, or 3, and the subsequent reaction of the hydroxyl groups with epichlorhydrine, in thin film evaporators or short-path evaporators at a temperature in the range of 150 to 270°C, and at a pressure in the range of 0.001 to 1 mbar.
