Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions comprising the following components: (A) at least one polyarylene ether, (B) at least one polyarylene sulfide and (C) at least one anhydride of a polyfunctional carboxylic acid having a number-average molecular weight of at most 600 g/mol. The present invention further relates to the use of the anhydrides of polyfunctional carboxylic acids mentioned in compositions comprising at least one polyarylene ether and at least one polyarylene sulfide.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing poly(arylene ether) block copolymers, comprising, in a first step, the reaction of at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound comprising 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl in molar excess and at least one aromatic dihalogen compound to form a poly(biphenyl sulfone) polymer, and in a second step, the reaction of the poly(biphenyl sulfone) polymer with at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound and at least one aromatic dihalogen compound. The invention further relates to the poly(arylene sulfone) block copolymers and the use of the poly(arylene sulfone) block copolymers to produce molded parts, fibers, films, or foams.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to branched polyarylene ethers (A) comprising branching sites of the formula (I): The present invention further relates to a process for preparing the branched polyarylene ethers (A) and to thermoplastic molding materials comprising the branched polyarylene ethers (A) and further thermoplastic polymers (B). The present invention finally relates to the use of the thermoplastic molding materials for producing moldings, and to moldings obtainable from the aforementioned thermoplastic molding materials.
Abstract:
Disclosed are vinyl lactam copolymers that are modified with polyalkylene oxide side chains, the use thereof as solubilizers for substances that are difficult to dissolve in water, and preparations containing such copolymers.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an aromatic polyethersulfone block copolymer comprising hydrophilic segments having sulfonic acid groups and hydrophobic segments which have no sulfonic acid groups, the weight percentage of hydrophilic segments being between 0,02 and 0,35.
