The present invention provides comb polymer compositions comprising phosphorus acid group containing backbone polymers of six-membered cyclic methacrylic imide having one or more side chain ether group containing N-substituent chosen from an ether group, a polyether group, an etheramine group, a polyetheramine group, an ether group crosslinking the backbone polymer chains, and a polyether group crosslinking the backbone polymer chains. The backbone polymers comprise from 60 to 100 wt. %, based on the total weight of monomers used to make the backbone polymer, of methacrylic acid polymerized units, regardless of their form, and from 7.5 to 95 wt. % of such polymerized units as methacrylic anhydride groups or six-membered cyclic methacrylic imide groups.

The invention relates to poly(oligo(ethylene glycol) methacrylate) microgels, a method for preparation of same and uses thereof in various fields of application, such as optics, electronics, pharmacy and cosmetics. Said microgels have the advantage of being monodisperse, pH-sensitive and thermosensitive. The microgels can carry magnetic nanoparticles or biologically active molecules. Said microgels can also form transparent films, which have original optical and electromagnetic properties.

The invention relates to a continuous method for producing a comb polymer, without organic solvent, by esterification and/or amidification of an acid copolymer or homopolymer, consisting in esterifying and/or amidifying said copolymer/homopolymer by hot reaction in the zone for mixture and transport of a tube reactor, optionally provided with a water elimination system, in the presence of at least one poly(alkylene glycol) in a solid form or in a melted form and an antioxidant, said esterification and/or amidification being carried out at a temperature higher than or equal to 170°C.

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a polymer mixture containing at least two different comb polymers, wherein the comb polymers each have a polymer backbone having side chains attached via ester and/or amide groups, which process comprises the steps of: a) providing and/or preparing a reaction mixture containing at least a first base polymer bearing acid groups and a second base polymer bearing acid groups, wherein the two base polymers differ chemically; b) conjointly esterifying and/or amidating the two base polymers with at least one unilaterally hydroxyl-terminated side chain compound and/or with at least one unilaterally amino-terminated side chain compound to obtain at least two different comb polymers. The invention further relates to a polymer mixture obtainable with the process of the invention, to a mineral binder composition and to a shaped article obtainable therefrom. Further aspects relate to uses of the polymer mixture in mineral binder compositions.

The present invention relates to phase change materials (PCMs) which may be used with photovoltaic (PV) modules. More specifically, solid/solid PCMs having a polyolefin backbone polymer and a crystallizable side chain are provided. Preferably, the solid/solid PCM has a copolymer backbone having a polyolefin repeating unit, and the crystallizable side chains are grafted onto the copolymer backbone. Most preferably, the copolymer is poly(ethylene-co-glycidyl methacrylate) (PE-co-GMA), and polyethylene glycol (PEG) is the crystallizable side chain. Photovoltaic modules and backsheets for photovoltaic modules having solid/solid PCMs are also provided.
