Abstract:
The present invention relates to a metal oxide support material containing nanoscaled iron-platinum group metal particles having a particle size in the range of 0.5 to 10 nm, whereas at least 70 % of all nanoscaled iron-platinum group metal particles are located on a outside surface layer of the metal oxide support material, whereas the outside surface layer has an averaged volume of less than 50 % based on the total volume of the metal oxide support material. In addition, the present invention relates to a process for preparation of such metal oxide support material containing nanoscaled iron-platinum group metal particles. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of metal oxides containing nanoscaled iron-platinum group metal particles as catalysts, for example as a diesel oxidation catalyst for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions from a diesel engine.

The present invention relates to microcapsules, comprising a capsule core and a capsule wall, wherein the capsule wall is composed of 50 to 90% by weight of one or more C 1 -C 24 -alkyl esters of acrylic and/or methacrylic acid (monomers I), 10 to 50% by weight of one or more polyvinyl monomers (monomers II), and 0 to 30% by weight of one or more monounsaturated, non-ionizable monomers (monomers III), which are different from monomers I, in each case relative to the total weight of the monomers. The invention further relates to a method for the production of said microcapsules, and to the use thereof in binding building materials, textiles and heat transfer fluids.

The invention relates to microcapsules comprising a capsule core, which contains a lipophilic substance and at least one compound that absorbs electromagnetic radiation from the wavelength range of 700 nm to 1 m, and capsule walls that are constituted of 40 to 80% by weight of one or more monomers (monomers I) selected from C 1 -C 24 alkyl esters of the acrylic and/or methacrylic acid, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and maleic acid, 20 to 60% by weight of one or more bifunctional or polyfunctional monomers (monomers II) which is/are water-insoluble or poorly water-soluble, and 0 to 40% by weight of one or more other monomers (monomers III), each based on the overall weight of the monomers. The invention also relates to microcapsules containing at least one epoxide resin adhesive and optionally a compound which absorbs electromagnetic radiation from the wavelength range of 700 nm to 1 m, to a method for producing the same, to the use thereof in contact adhesives and to methods for gluing at least two substrates.

The invention relates to an aqueous dispersion comprising microcapsules, the capsule wall of which is made of radically polymerised monomers and the capsule core of which comprises at least one oil and at least one lipophilic surfactant. The continuous phase of the dispersion comprises at least one agrochemical. The invention also relates to a method for producing an aqueous dispersion with the steps: i) provision of an aqueous dispersion comprising microcapsules, the capsule wall of which is made of radically polymerised monomers and the capsule core of which comprises at least one oil and at least one lipophilic surfactant (microcapsule crude dispersion), and ii) at least one agrochemical is added. The invention also relates to the use of the microcapsule crude dispersion for producing an aqueous dispersion and to a product comprising, as separate components, a microcapsule crude dispersion and at least one agrochemical for combined use in combating undesired plant growth and/or for controlling undesired insect or acaricide infestation of plants and/or for combating phytopathogenic fungi.

The present invention is related to a method for the pesticidal treatment of crops which have a final growth height of at least 140 cm, comprising the treatment with an encapsulated pesticide at a growth height of the crop of up to 120 cm. The invention further relates to a composition comprising an encapsulated pesticide and a composition comprising a mixture of an encapsulated pesticide and a non-encapsulated, additional pesticide. Finally, the invention also relates to a use of an encapsulated pesticide for the pesticidal treatment of crop which has a final growth height of at least 140 cm at a growth height of the crop of less than 120 cm.

The invention relates to metal-nanoparticles and to methods for the production thereof in which a metallic salt solution is reduced by means of a reducing agent in the presence of the derivatised polyethylenimines or polyvinylamines. Metal salt solutions of two or more different metals can be reduced at the same time or successively. The metallic nanoparticles are obtained from two or more different metals. Metals are preferably silver, palladium and platinum. Suitable reducing agents are, for example, formic acid, formaldehyde, diethanolamine, 5-pentenic acids and sodium borohydride. Silver can be used in the form of silver oxide and/or silver nitrate, palladium can be used in the form of alkali tetrachloropalladate or palladium(ll)nitrate and platinum can be used in the form of alkali tetrachloroplatinate or tetraamine platinum(ll)nitrate.
