Provided herein are aqueous dispersions. The aqueous dispersions can comprise a first copolymer derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers, and a second carboxy-functional copolymer derived from one or more carboxylic acid-containing monomers. The aqueous dispersions can be used to prepare low- or zero-VOC aqueous coating compositions that possess desirable properties, including good block resistance and scrub resistance. Coatings and coating formulations comprising the aqueous dispersion, as well as methods of making and using the same are also provided.

The present invention relates to a liquid (meth)acrylic syrup, its method of polymerization and article obtained thereof. In particular the present invention deals with a liquid (meth)acrylic syrup comprising an initiation system for polymerization at low temperature. More particularly the present invention relates to a liquid (meth)acrylic syrup comprising an initiator system for polymerization at low temperature, said initiating system comprises at least one accelerator, at least one organic aldehyde, at least one peracid and at least one liquid peroxy compound; an impregnation process for a fibrous substrate, the liquid (meth)acrylic syrup for implementing this process, and the obtained impregnated fibrous substrate. The impregnated fibrous substrate is suitable for manufacturing mechanical or structured parts or articles. The present invention concerns also the process for polymerizing a liquid (meth)acrylic syrup comprising an initiation system for polymerization at low temperature said initiating system comprises at least one accelerator, at least one organic aldehyde, at least one peracid, and at least one liquid peroxy compound. The present invention concerns also manufacturing process for manufacturing mechanical or structured parts or articles and three-dimensional mechanical or structured parts obtained by this process.

The thermoplastic resin powder is obtained by coagulating a polymer from a latex produced by means of emulsion polymerization of a monomer, the content of metal-corroding free acids in the thermoplastic resin powder is no greater than 500 ppm, and the thermoplastic resin powder satisfies a predetermined formula (1).

Process for the production of a polymer foam with use of hydrogel pearls as porosity generating template, comprising the steps of:—providing a matrix of polymer or prepolymer in viscous state including, as a dispersed phase, hydrogel pearls, where said pearls are dispersed in said matrix so as to generate intercommunicating cells,—causing the solidification of the matrix of polymer or prepolymer to obtain said polymer foam including said hydrogel pearls, characterised in that it comprises the operation of subjecting the thus obtained foam to conditions which cause the dehydration of said hydrogel pearls so as to obtain a reduction of volume of said pearls and—removing the dehydrated pearls by immersion in water of the polymer foam or by exposure of the foam to a flow of pressurized gas or water.
