    摘要: An electrically conductive composite comprises a suspension matrix (e.g. a conductive polymer matrix) and metal nanoparticles suspended within the suspension matrix wherein the conductive composite has conductivity greater than 104 S cm-1. A method for preparing metal composite nanoparticles comprises mixing a. protective monolayer material (e.g. an ω-carboxyl- or ω-hydroxyl- functionalised alkylthiol such as 11-mercapto-1-undecanol or 16-mercapto- hexadecanoic acid) with a metal salt (e.g. hydrogen tetrachloroaureate), a reducing agent (e.g. sodium borohydride) and a phase transfer agent (e.g. tetraoctylammonium bromide) and extracting protected metal nanoparticles from the mixture, wherein the protective monolayer material comprises one or more alkyl chains or aromatic moieties functionalised at one end with a group (X) capable of binding to the protected metal nanoparticles, and at the other end with a group (Y) capable of solvation in a non-organic solvent, such that the distance between X and Y is more than 10 Ångstroms.
