摘要: This invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst having an excellent exhaust partition ability while reducing the increase in pressure loss. Exhaust gas purification catalyst 10 comprises a substrate having a wall-flow structure with partition wall 12, upstream coating section formed in portions of partition wall 12 facing entrance cell 24, from exhaust inlet-side end 24a in the extending direction of partition wall 12, and downstream coating section formed in portions of partition wall 12 facing exit cell 25, from exhaust outlet-side end 25a in the extending direction, having a length shorter than the entire length L w of the partition wall. In downstream coating section 28, a catalytic metal is concentrated in the surface layer in contact with exit cell 25.

摘要: Provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst that combines reduction of pressure loss and enhancement of purification performance. This invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst 10 comprising a wall-flow-type substrate and first and second catalytic layers 261 and 262. The first catalytic layer 261 is provided to the interior of a partition wall 26, in contact with an entrance cell 24, from an exhaust inlet-side end 24a in the running direction, having a length L 1 less than L w . The second catalytic layer 262 is provided to the interior of a partition wall 26, in contact with an exit cell 25, from an exhaust outlet-side end 25a in the running direction, having a length L 2 less than L w . An internal portion of partition wall 26 in contact with entrance cell 24 has a substrate-exposing segment 26N 1 near the exhaust outlet-side end 25a.

摘要: Provided is a wall-flow-type exhaust gas purification catalyst with an oxygen storage material that has an increased OSC and exhibits its OSC without a compromise. This invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst 10 comprising a wall-flow-type substrate, a first catalytic layer 261 and a second catalytic layer 262. The first catalytic layer 261 is provided to an internal portion of a partition wall 26 in contact with an entrance cell 24. The second catalytic layer 262 is provided to an internal portion of a partition wall 26 in contact with an exit cell 25. Each of the first and second catalytic layers 261 and 262 comprises an oxygen storage material. The ratio (D 1 /D 2 ) of the coating density D 1 of the first catalytic layer 261 to the coating density D 2 of the second catalytic layer 262 is 1.1 to 1.8.

摘要: Provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst in which the performance of a catalyst metal can be brought out properly, the purification catalyst boasting excellent purification performance during warm-up of an internal combustion engine. The exhaust gas purification catalyst 10 is provided with a substrate 1 and a catalyst layer. A leading end section 1a positioned upstream in the direction of exhaust gas flow (arrow) has a portion in which the flow rate of exhaust gas is relatively high and a portion in which the flow rate of exhaust gas is relatively low during warm-up of the internal combustion engine. The catalyst layer in the portion of relatively high flow rate of exhaust gas has a high density section 6 in which a noble metal is supported at relatively high density. The high density section 6 is formed to be shorter than the total length of the exhaust gas purification catalyst 10 from the leading end section 1a in the direction of exhaust gas flow.
