摘要: The present invention provides to an exhaust gas purification that has: a base 11 of wall flow structure having inlet side cells 12 in which an end 13 on the exhaust gas inflow side is open and outlet side cells 14 in which an end 15 on the exhaust gas outflow side is open, and a porous partition wall that partitions the inlet side cell and the outlet side cell; and a first catalyst layer 20 and a second catalyst layer 30 disposed in the interior of the porous partition wall 16 so as to be in contact with the inlet side cells 12 and the outlet side cells 14, wherein either one of the first catalyst layer 20 and the second catalyst layer 30 contains an oxidation catalyst but does not contain a reduction catalyst, and the other one contains the reduction catalyst but does not contain the oxidation catalyst; and a ratio of the lengths of the first catalyst layer 20 and the second catalyst layer 30 differs between a surface of the porous partition wall 16 on the side in contact with the inlet side cells 12 and a surface on the side in contact with the outlet side cells 14.

An internal portion of partition wall 26 in contact with entrance cell 24 has a substrate-exposing segment 26N 1 near the exhaust outlet-side end 25a.

In a second area Y, the first catalyst 30 is not provided, the second catalyst 50 is disposed in a region including at least a part inside the partition wall 12, the part facing the first cell, and the partition wall 12 with the second catalyst 50 disposed in the partition wall 12 is permeable to gas. In a third area Z, any of the first catalyst 30 or the second catalyst 50 is not provided, and the partition wall 12 is permeable to gas.

摘要: Provided is a wall-flow-type exhaust gas purification catalyst with an oxygen storage material that has an increased OSC and exhibits its OSC without a compromise. This invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst 10 comprising a wall-flow-type substrate, a first catalytic layer 261 and a second catalytic layer 262. The first catalytic layer 261 is provided to an internal portion of a partition wall 26 in contact with an entrance cell 24. The second catalytic layer 262 is provided to an internal portion of a partition wall 26 in contact with an exit cell 25. Each of the first and second catalytic layers 261 and 262 comprises an oxygen storage material. The ratio (D 1 /D 2 ) of the coating density D 1 of the first catalytic layer 261 to the coating density D 2 of the second catalytic layer 262 is 1.1 to 1.8.
