A mold releasing agent comprising a silicon-containing compound represented by the formula: R nSiR 4-n wherein R is (R and R are a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms), R is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a halogenated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, n is 3 or 4, and a silicon- and/or fluorine-containing compound having at least two hydroxyl groups or alkoxyl groups in one molecule. The mold releasing agent of the present invention is excellent in mold releasing property, has a long life, provides a good surface finishing of molded article, and has no influence on secondary processability.
