    摘要: A method for optimizing a scheduler for an optical pick-up reduces switch times required for seamless video angle switching. The pick-up reads data streams from different files on an optical storage medium, e.g. Blu-Ray disc. Seamless video angle switching requires reading and buffering a new video data stream from another file, delaying the switch to be visible. Labels that mark entry points for seamless angle switching are attached to the video stream (R), and are stored together with the video data in a buffer (B). When an angle switch is requested, and thus a switch to a new video data stream (A2), the scheduler determines the time (t min ) before data from the new data stream (A2) can be buffered, detects the next label (L2*), and stores the new data (A2) beyond the label (L2*), thus flushing non-relevant parts of the previous buffer contents.

    摘要: When recording real-time data on a DVD streamer or DVR the arrival time ATC of every real-time packet received by the recorder is stored along with the data on the recording medium. This is done to provide - by means of the ATCs - the same timing for the playback of the stored real-time stream as the timing of the recording process. However, a data stream received via the Internet TCP/IP protocol having a varying data rate is not played back correctly because the variations of the data rate of the received data stream are present in the played back signal. In the inventive data stream recording an arrival time stamp is provided (2, 3) for each data packet of said data stream, which arrival time stamps represent the arrival times of said data packets and are intended for temporally correct replay of the data stream to be recorded. However, said arrival time stamps are re-stamped (7) in accordance with a desired data rate for the playback of said data stream to be recorded.

    摘要: In such an apparatus including a large display area and a comparatively small camera area the camera produces a picture with a wrong perspective if the object to be picked-up moves to a border of the display area, for example a side view instead of a front view of a speaker directly looking to the display area.
    It is an object to provide such an apparatus avoiding said drawback and enabling pick-up of the object by the camera area with correct perspective wherever the object is situated in front of the display area.
    The camera area and the display area are positioned one behind the other and have the same dimensions. Particularly a camera plate (6) and a display plate (7) are displaced in direction of the optical axis one plate including translucent areas enabling transmission of light from the object (12) to be picked-up to the camera plate (6) or of backlight (10) to a display plate (7) including LCD cells.
    An advantageous field of application is teleconferencing or videophone equipments working with large display screens.
