In a further development of the CD, the so-called DVD, a data format was chosen which is upwards compatible with the CD. As a result, existing audio CDs can also be played on a DVD player. If complete error correction is not possible during the reproduction of a CD by an audio CD player, then simple measures for error concealment are additionally taken, but they are not always adequate. However, for cost reasons more complicated methods are not used in an audio CD player, since they would require a more powerful processor and a larger memory. However, a DVD player has this more complex hardware in any event, in order to enable the outstanding video quality that is intended. According to the invention, therefore, during the reproduction of an audio CD on a DVD player, one of various error concealment methods is carried out in dependence on the error rate that occurs, with a low error rate it being possible to effect error concealment that is considerably more accurate in comparison with a conventional CD player.

The invention relates to a device for wireless reception of radio signals such as those which are transmitted, for example, in networks which are not based on wires ("wireless network"). A problem which frequently occurs in these networks is that the field strength distribution in a room is highly inhomogeneous due to reflections on walls, ceilings and objects. This can lead to the signal to be received being very severely attenuated at the location of the receiving antenna while, at a point only a few centimetres away, it can be received virtually without any attenuation. The invention thus provides a signal evaluation circuit which continually evaluates the reception field strength. As soon as the reception field strength falls below a specific threshold value, a drive unit reacts by changing the physical position of the antenna.

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Fernsteuerung mindestens eines elektronischen Gerätes (10 bis 25) vorgeschlagen, bei dem die Steuerungsdaten von einem Fernsteuerungsgerät (27) zu dem elektronischen Gerät (10 bis 25) übertragen werden. Bei dem Verfahren werden Informationsdaten mindestens bezüglich der Fernsteuerungsfunktionen des zu steuernden elektronischen Ge-rätes (10 bis 25) zu dem Fernsteuerungsgerät (27) übertragen. Diese Informationsdaten werden in dem Fernsteuerungsgerät (27) abgespeichert und bei einem Steuerungsvorgang abgerufen, um die jeweils für den Steuerungsvorgang notwendigen Steuerungsdaten auszuwählen und auszusenden. Wenigstens die Geräteidentifikationsnummer (GID) und der Gerätetyp wird automatisch z.B. nach Anschließung des elektronischen Gerätes an das Stromversorgungsnetz zu der Fernsteuerung übertragen. Weiterhin wird eine Vorrichtung zur Fernsteuerung eines elektro-nischen Gerätes vorgeschlagen, sowie ein elektronisches Gerät.
