    摘要: The invention encompasses a mixed transition metal olefin polymerization catalyst system suitable for the polymerization of olefin monomers comprising one late transition metal catalyst system and at least one different catalyst system selected from the group consisting of late transition metal catalyst systems, transition metal metallocene catalyst systems or Ziegler-Natta catalyst systems. Preferred embodiments include at least one late transition metal catalyst system comprising a Group 9, 10, or 11 metal complex stabilized by a bidentate ligand structure and at least one transition metal metallocene catalyst system comprising a Group 4 metal complex stabilized by at least one ancillary cyclopentadienyl ligand. The polymerization process for olefin monomers comprises contacting one or more olefins with these catalyst systems under polymerization conditions.

    摘要: A process for preparing substantially random olefin copolymers containing geminally disubstituted olefin monomers is described. The geminally disubstituted olefin monomers can be represented by the generic formula R1 = R2(R3)(R4), where R1 is CH2, R2 is C, and R3 and R4 are, independently, essentially linear hydrocarbyl groups having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or more, and containing one carbon atom bound directly to R2. The copolymers can be prepared by contacting at least one geminally disubstituted olefin monomer and one or more comonomers selected from the group consisting of ethylene and C3-C20 α-olefins, optionally with one or more other coordination polymerizable monomers, with an active coordination catalyst system comprising a bridged bis(arylamido) Group 4 catalyst component.

    摘要: Substantially random ethylene copolymers containing at least 3.0 mole percent of geminally disubstituted olefin monomers are described. The geminally disubstituted olefin monomers can be represented by the generic formula R1 = R2(R3)(R4), where R1 is CH2, R2 is C, and R3 and R4 are, independently, essentially linear hydrocarbyl groups having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or more, and containing one carbon atom bound directly to R2. The copolymers can be prepared by coordination polymerization by means of contacting at least one geminally disubstituted olefin monomer and ethylene, optionally with one or more other coordination polymerizable monomers, with a catalyst system comprising a monocyclopentadienyl, heteroatom-containing Group 4 transition metal catalyst component.
