摘要: The invention provides a radar apparatus that transmits radio waves and receives the echoes of the transmitted radio waves. The radar apparatus comprises receiver means for detecting the beat resulted from the echoes and the transmitted waves; first frequency analysis means for separating the beat into frequency components to detect a peak signal in the resulting frequency spectrum; and second frequency analysis means for separating the beat into frequency components using a frequency resolution different from that of the first frequency analysis means to detect a peak in the resulting frequency spectrum.

摘要: The control precision of when a vehicle is controlled on the basis of the results of sensing by means of a camera (1) and a radar (4) is improved. A vehicle measurement controller mounted in a vehicle comprises image processing means (2) for imaging the surroundings of the vehicle and processing an image signal, radar signal processing means (5) for transmitting a radio wave or light to objects surrounding the vehicle and processing a received signal, and control means (8) for controlling a brake, a throttle, or a transmission on the basis of the results of the outputs from the image processing means (2) and from the radar signal processing means (5). The information outputted from the image processing means (2) and the information from the radar signal processing means (5) each includes time information about the imaging time when the imaging is carried out and measurement time when the measurement is carried out so as to adjust the order of the imaging time and the measurement time. In such a way, even if the processing time of when the imaging and measurement object is simple is different from that of when the object is complex, the imaging time and the measurement time are determined. Therefore, a processing appropriate for the imaging and measurement times is carried out, thereby controlling precisely the travel of the vehicle.

摘要: A radar apparatus mounted on a moving object moving along a continuous plane comprises 1 a transceiver unit for transmitting a signal having a main lobe in the moving direction of the moving object and a side lobe directed toward the continuous plane and for receiving a first reflection signal from a target in the main lobe direction and a second reflection signal from the continuous plane in the side lobe direction and 2 control processing means for detecting the frequency of a beat signal of the second reflection signal received by the transceiver unit and the signal emitted by the transceiver unit and for detecting information correlated to the posture of the radar apparatus with respect to the continuous plane on the basis of the frequency. As a result, the variation in the posture of the mounted radar device with respect to the moving object can be detected without adding any hardware.
