摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a stroke simulator in which the piston operates smoothly without being inhibited from displacement thereof by the negative pressure generated in the closed space, even if the piston is configured to be displaced so as to close the space in which the elastic member is housed, and to elastically deform the elastic member. A stroke simulator, in which a simulator piston (2a), which is displaced within a cylinder portion (200) by an operation of a brake operating element by a driver, presses a first return spring (2b), which is housed in a bottomed cylindrical portion (224d), from an opening portion (224d2) side of the cylindrical portion (224d), to cause the first return spring (2b) to be elastically deform, and to generate a brake reaction force. When the opening portion (224d2) is closed by the simulator piston (2a), a brake fluid filled in the cylinder portion (200) is taken into the inside of the cylindrical portion (224d) via a flow path (224d1) leading to the inside of the cylindrical portion (224d) from a second cylinder (202).

A master cylinder apparatus (A1) which includes a base member (10) containing a fluid passageway for brake fluid and to which an operation of a brake operator is inputted is provided with: a master cylinder (1) installed on the base member (10) to generate a fluid pressure based on an input produced by operating the brake operator; and at least two solenoid valves attached to one side of the base member (10) to open or close the fluid passageway. The two solenoid valves are disposed symmetrically with respect to a central axis (O) along the axial direction of the master cylinder (1) as viewed from a direction perpendicular to the one side of the base member (10).

Further, a clearance (204) is formed between an inner peripheral wall (83) of the cylinder body (82) and a first groove portion (202a) and second groove portion (202b) which are formed on an outer surface of the restriction pin (102). As a result, a transmission of a load from the restriction pin to the cylinder body is suppressed, and a deformation of a piston sliding surface of the cylinder body is prevented.
