The row-arranged balls are diverted towards a diverting channel (7) in order to pass from one end of the thread of the threaded path (4) to the beginning thereof. Said invention is characterised in that the distance (TES) separating the first and the last balls of the row is equal to or less than 0.3 mm, the ratio between the pitch of the threaded path (4) and the ball (3) diameter ranges from 1.02 to 1.2., the threaded grooves (5, 6) of the spindle nut (2) and the spindle (1) are embodied in the form of a gothic profile (8, 9) respectively, a pressure angle formed by the ball (3) in contact with said gothic profile (8, 9) ranges between 15 and 35 degrees.

The inner circumference of said spindle nut (3) comprises at least one screw-shaped track (4) which is formed thereupon as a single piece and the threads (38) of which are separated by means of shoulders (6). Said shoulder (6) is interrupted at least at one peripheral position by a deflecting recess (23) in order to redirect balls (13) from one thread into an adjacent thread (38). The inventive method comprises the following steps: a tool arbor (56), the outer circumference of which is provided with a counter-profile of the screw-shaped track (4) and a projecting part (59) for each deflecting recess, is disposed inside a hollow blank (57); a tool exercising radial forces (F) acts upon and reshapes the blank (57) from the outside, the inner circumferential surface of the blank (57) being shaped according to the counter-profile and the projecting part (59) of the tool arbor (56) during the reshaping process such that the screw-shaped track (4) and the deflecting recess (23) are formed.
