The invention relates to a sample sorting, conveying and receiving device for small microspheres. Every recess (122) has an opening (125) in its bottom area, which opening has a diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the microsphere (3). Said opening (125) is followed by a gap (126) which extends in the direction of the second surface (124) of the microsphere receiving zone (12). These gaps can be impinged upon by a negative pressure or overpressure via one or more channels or via an interlinked chamber of the first module.

The invention relates to a device for controlling the amount of liquid substances received and discharged. The aim of the invention is to produce a device, enabling a plurality of different liquid substances to be received and discharged from micro or nano titer plates. According to the invention, it is possible to carry out one or more chemical or biological reactions in said device and to receive liquid substances with differing viscosities, as a result of capillary channels (1) which are arranged at an equal distance from each other and are provided in a row, said channels being brought together in a communicative link with a chamber (2) which is impinged upon by high and low pressure, whereby the capillary channels (1) are embedded in the plate (3) and one sieve-type membrane (4) is associated with the ends of the capillary channels (11) on the inner side of the pressure chamber. According to the invention, an area (5) is provided above each end of the capillary channels for receiving a liquid substance. Said areas (5) are arranged separately from each other and are disposed inside the chamber (2) which can be impinged upon by high and low pressure.

Continuous recesses in the holding frame (1) are located underneath the titer plates (2) and are occluded by a common one-piece bottom plate (7) having punch-like protrusions (6). Devices for regulating temperature can be arranged both inside the cover plate (4), the holding frame (1) as well as inside the one-piece bottom plate (7). The holding frame (1) comprises channel-like recesses for accommodating liquid solvent.

The aim of the invention is to provide a magnetic handling device which is able to pick up and transport small and extremely small ferromagnetic objects which are arranged in a matrix without affecting the positions of said objects relative to each other. To this end, the magnet poles are arranged in a matrix above and/or below the objects to be handled, in the direction of handling. The invention also relates to a magnetic handling device for handling ferromagnetic objects which are arranged in a matrix, especially particles which serve as supports for chemical samples, said handling device having several magnet poles.
