A segmented-coil manufacturing method is configured so that, in order to reduce the number of segmented-coil manufacturing steps, the method manufactures a segmented coil (SC) by winding a flat rectangular conductor (D) and using forming dies, the segmented coil (SC) having a circular arc section (Sa1), a crank section (S4), and a protrusion-shaped section (S5). The forming die includes an outer peripheral surface forming upper die (M1), an inner peripheral surface forming upper die (M4), an inner peripheral surface forming lower die (M2), and an outer peripheral surface forming lower die (M3). The circular arc section (Sa1), the crank section (S4), and the protrusion-shaped section (S5) are formed while at least two surfaces of the outer peripheral surfaces of the flat rectangular conductor (D) are restrained by the outer peripheral surface forming upper die (M1), the inner peripheral surface forming upper die (M4), the inner peripheral surface forming lower die (M2), and the outer peripheral surface forming lower die (M3).

A rotation adjusting mechanism is provided in a power transmission path from an alternator pulley to an alternator shaft and includes mainly a coil spring as an elastic member and a clutch mechanism having a function to switch between transmission and interruption of power. The power of the alternator pulley is transmitted from the coil spring to the alternator shaft via the clutch mechanism in a power transmission state. The coil spring reduces a minute change in rotation generated in at least one of the alternator pulley and the alternator shaft by its elastic deformation. The clutch mechanism is provided in an intermediate position of the power transmission path from the coil spring to the alternator shaft and interrupts the power transmission from the alternator pulley to the alternator shaft when a rotation speed of the alternator pulley lowers below a rotation speed of the alternator shaft by a predetermined value or greater.
