摘要:
The object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a cell population comprising mesenchymal stem cells having a high specific growth rate which are useful for promptly producing large amounts of cell formulations. The present invention provides a method for producing a cell population comprising mesenchymal stem cells, comprising: a step of treating a cell population comprising mesenchymal stem cells having different proliferative ability by physical stimulation or chemical stimulation, so as to select mesenchymal stem cells having relatively high proliferative ability, wherein the selected mesenchymal stem cells having relatively high proliferative ability are negative for CD106, and the expression level of a metallothionein family gene is increased in comparison to the expression level thereof in the cell population before the treatment by the physical stimulation or chemical stimulation.

A safe and practically useful body fluid processor whereby blood taken out from a patient can be directly processed, characterized by having a favorable blood cell permeability and showing an extremely low risk of the generation and leakage of fine particles. Namely, a body fluid processor enabling direct hemoperfusion wherein the ratio of sedimented particles to the volume of the space in which the particles for processing body are to be packed is 100% or less and the space in which the particles for processing body fluid are to be packed in the body fluid processor is filled with the particles for processing body fluid and a filling liquid at a ratio of 95% or more but not more than 100%.

This invention relates to a granulocyte adsorbent comprising a polymer compound having an unsubstituted hydroxyl group and a hydroxyl group in which H has been substituted with at least one substituent R, a method for producing such adsorbent, a device for adsorbing granulocytes and a system for removing granulocytes using such adsorbent, and body fluid or a cell suspension from which granulocytes have been removed using such adsorbent.
摘要:
The present invention has its object to provide a direct hemoperfusion adsorber packed with an adsorbent made by using a water-insoluble carrier having a relatively readily available particle size distribution, with water-insoluble microparticles having been removed therefrom, without needing any special granulation apparatus or coating apparatus, and method of obtaining a direct hemoperfusion adsorbent having water-insoluble microparticles removed therefrom. Now, a direct hemoperfusion adsorber has been obtained that is packed with an adsorbent having a number average particle diameter of not smaller than 300 µm but not larger than 600 µm, with the coefficient of variance in particle diameter distribution being not lower than 10% but not higher than 20%, and having water-insoluble microparticles removed therefrom to a safe level, without the loss of the adsorbent, by using a water-insoluble microparticle-removing-mesh such that the ratio of the mesh opening size for removing water-insoluble microparticles to the mesh opening size of the adsorber is not lower than 1.3 but not higher than 1.5.

The present invention relates to a separation system and a separation material for easily and rapidly separating a red blood cell-rich fraction, a white blood cell-rich fraction, and/or a platelet-rich fraction from a biological fluid containing these blood cell components without the necessity of performing centrifugation. The separation of a red blood cell-rich fraction, a white blood cell-rich fraction, and/or a platelet-rich fraction from a biological fluid can be accomplished by capturing white blood cells and platelets on a blood cell separation material by contacting the biological fluid with the blood cell separation material, thereby providing a red blood cell-rich fraction; and recovering a white blood cell-rich fraction by separating white blood cells captured from the resulting blood cell separation material using a separation solution.

The present invention has its object to provide a material for separating stem cell and a filter for separating stem cell, each is capable of selectively separating and recovering, in a simple and easy manner, stem cells from body fluids or biological tissue-derived treated fluids, a method for separating and recovering stem cells, and stem cells obtained by such method. The present invention is a material for separating stem cell which has a density K of 1.0 x 10 4 ≤ K ≤ 1.0 x 10 6 and a fiber diameter of 3 to 40 µm; a filter for separating stem cell which comprises the material for separating stem cell as packed in a container having a fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port; a method of separating and recovering stem cells which comprises using the material for separating stem cell or the filter for separating stem cell; and a method of producing a multipotent cell fraction.

A hydrophilized membrane which is obtained by easily hydrophilizing, e.g., a hydrophobic porous membrane and is greatly inhibited from suffering adhesion of blood cells such as erythrocytes, leukocytes, and blood platelets thereto. The hydrophilized hydrophobic porous membrane is characterized by being obtained by immersing a medical supply having a hydrophobic part to be in contact with blood in a solution of a substance having surface activity and then rinsing the medical supply with a solvent in which the surfactant is soluble to thereby adsorb, in an extremely slight amount, the substance having surface activity onto the surface of the part to be in contact with blood. It is further characterized in that the adhesion of blood cells such as erythrocytes, leukocytes, and blood platelets to the membrane is greatly inhibited.
