First and second pressure monitoring points (P1, P2) are located in a refrigerant circuit. The first pressure chamber (55) is exposed to the pressure at the first pressure monitoring point (P1). The second pressure chamber (56) is exposed to the pressure at the second pressure monitoring point (P2). The ball is displaced based on the pressure difference between the first pressure chamber (55) and the second pressure chamber (56). The position of the valve body (43) is determined based on the position of the pressure sensing member (54).

    摘要: A torque limiting mechanism for transmitting power from an external drive source (Eg) to the drive shat (17) of a compressor (C). A pulley (33), which is coupled to the external drive source, has elastic members (44). A hub, which is attached to the drive shaft, has engaging portions (41). A coupler member (59) is located between the pulley (33) and the hub (38). The coupler member is engaged with the elastic members (44) and with the engaging portions (41) such that power is transmitted from the pulley to the hub. The urging members urge the coupler member (59) such that the coupler member is disengaged from the engaging portions (41). When power is transmitted from the pulley to the hub, the elastic members (44) maintain the coupler member (59) engaged with the elastic members (44) and with the engaging portions (41). When load generated due to power transmission exceeds a predetermined level, the elastic members (44) are deformed such that the coupler member (59) is disengaged from the elastic members (44). When disengaged from the elastic members (44), the coupler member is disengaged from the engaging portions (44).

    摘要: A piston (35) type compressor has a housing, a crank chamber (15) and a drive shaft (16) supported by the housing. A front restriction (11a) and a rear restriction (51a, 14e) are located in the housing. The front and rear restrictions (11a, 51a, 14e) restrict axial movement of the drive shaft (16). The front restriction (11a) restricts forward movement of the drive shaft (16). The rear restriction (51a, 14e) restricts rearward axial movement of the drive shaft (16). A first clearance (X1) is located between the rear end of the drive shaft (16) and the rear restriction (51a, 14e) when the drive shaft (16) is restricted by the front restriction (11a). A second clearance (X2) is formed between the piston (35) and a valve plate (14) when the drive shaft (16) is restricted by the front restriction (11a) and when the piston (35) is in the top dead center position. The first clearance (X1) is narrower than the second clearance. The method of assembly the piston (35) easily sets the first clearance (X1).

    摘要: A torque limiting mechanism includes a pulley (33) and a hub (38). The pulley (33) has a transmission spring (44). The hub (38) has a groove (41). A transmission ring (59) is engaged with the transmission spring (44) such that power can be transmitted between the pulley (33) and the hub (38). The transmission ring (59) includes a coupler block (51) and a coupler (58). The coupler block (51) is engaged with the transmission spring (44) and the groove (41). The coupler (58) is connected to the coupler block (51). The coupler (58) urges the coupler block (51) in a direction disengaging the coupler block (51) from one of the transmission spring (44) and the groove (41). When the load between the pulley (33) and the hub (38) exceeds a predetermined level, the coupler block (51) is disengaged from the pulley (33) and the hub (38). Thereafter the coupler (58) keeps the coupler block (51) disengaged from the pulley (33) and the hub (38). This positively discontinues power transmission according to an applied load and maintains the discontinuation.
