    摘要: A method for adaptive streaming of nonlinear video is described wherein the method comprises receiving a manifest file comprising metadata defining a playback period defining video data of a predetermined playback duration, a playback period including at least one adaptation set defining a plurality of representations, each representation defining a set of segment identifiers, each segment identifier identifying a segment comprising a sequence of video frames; the metadata further comprising spatial playback information including at least a first region descriptor associated with a first adaptation set of a first playback period, the first region descriptor defining a destination identifier and a first region in video frames of the first adaptation set, the destination identifier signaling the client apparatus that the first region is linked to a second adaptation set; the client apparatus using the metadata to playback video data of the first adaptation set by requesting one or more network nodes to transmit segments of the first adaptation set; and, receiving or determining, during playback of requested segments, information associated with at least a second region in the video frames of the first adaptation set, the second region defining a region of interest (ROI) of a user of the client apparatus; the client apparatus selecting the second adaptation set for playback after the end of the playback of the first adaptation set on the basis of the first and second region, the selecting being based on a distance or an overlap between the first and second region.

    摘要: A system and method are provided for managing a concurrent streaming of a first media stream (031) and a second media stream (032). The media streams (031, 032) represent different recordings of an event. The concurrent streaming of the media streams (031, 032) is enabled by a resource having a resource limitation (080). To address this resource limitation, when it is determined that the resource limitation is exceeded by the concurrent streaming of the first media stream (031) streaming to a first streaming client (041) and the second media stream (032) streaming to a second streaming client (042), the first media stream (031) is selected for substituting the second media stream (032) in the streaming to the second streaming client (042). As a result of the substitution, the first and the second streaming client (041, 042) stream the same media stream rather than different media streams. This may have as advantage that the allocation of the resource is reduced, since the streaming of a same media stream to different streaming clients (041, 042) typically represents a lower resource allocation than the streaming of different media streams to different streaming clients.

    摘要: A play-out device is provided for playing out an audio signal via a speaker to provide a sound signal, and a recording device for recording the sound signal to obtain a recorded signal comprising a recording of at least the sound signal. The play-out device is configured for generating noise suppression data comprising the audio signal, or a reference thereto, and timing information for enabling the audio signal to be correlated in time with the recorded signal. A noise suppression subsystem is provided with the recorded signal and the noise suppression data. The noise suppression subsystem comprises a timing manager for synchronizing the audio signal with the recorded signal based on the timing information, and a noise suppressor for processing the recorded signal based on said synchronized audio signal to obtain a processed signal in which the recording of the sound signal is suppressed. The noise suppression subsystem is thus enabled to perform noise suppression, even when not comprised in the play-out device but rather in another device such as the recording device.
