A non-structural work method wherein prefabricated flat elements, particularly plates, are provided which comprise a plaster body and at least one paper facing sheet with at least one outer layer having an exposed outer surface ready for decoration, as well as at least one complementary jointing plaster particularly suitable for finishing a joint; and said flat elements are assembled, particularly by means of a plaster, whereafter the joints are finished using said complementary plaster to form an exposed outer surface that is relatively uniform even at the joints. The structure and/or composition of the paper facing sheet and the composition of the complementary plaster are adjusted in relation to one another so that when the complementary plaster has dried, a surface having one or more substantially uniform physical properties, including colour or shade, is achieved over the whole of said surface, and particularly on the exposed outer surface of the joints.

The invention concerns a gypsum plaster base board with highly improved fire resistance. Said plate has a plaster based core and is characterised in that it is provided at least on one of its surfaces, with a facing consisting of a glass fibre mat, said mat being coated, on its outer surface, with a coating composition comprising: a mineral filler, excluding calcium sulphates capable of being hydrated, and an organic or mineral binder. The invention also concerns a glass fibre mat coated with a coating composition comprising: a mineral filler, excluding calcium sulphates capable of being hydrated, an organic or mineral binder, a waterproofing agent. Finally, the invention concerns a method for making such a gypsum plaster base board.

The invention concerns a gypsum plaster base board composition comprising: 55 to 92 % of calcium sulphate capable of being hydrated; 0.1 to 5 % of mineral and/or refractory fibres: 3 to 25 % of a mineral additive; 1 to 5 % of non-exfoliated vermiculite; 3 to 15 % of hydrated alumina. The invention also concerns a method for preparing said composition and a method for making gypsum plaster base boards. Said gypsum plaster base boards have improved fire resistance.

The present invention provides a construction assembly for interior works, comprising: prefabricated elements, e.g. gypsum fiberboards, wherein said prefabricated elements comprise a coating layer formed of at least one skim coat deposited on said prefabricated elements; and at least one jointing material, e.g. a sealing coat, which joints adjacent said prefabricated elements to form a substantially plane outer surface comprising the visible surface of said at least one jointing material and the visible surface of the skim coated prefabricated elements, wherein said at least one jointing material and said at least one skim coat comprise a mineral filler, a binder and water; and wherein the composition of said at least one jointing material and said at least one skim coat are adapted to each other, whereby said at least one skim coat are adapted to each other, whereby said at least one jointing material and said skim coat form, both in a dry state, a substantially homogeneous surface and whereby said outer surface is ready to be decorated.
