Abstract:
Disclosed are an admixture composition for a tile cement mortar and a tile cement mortar composition comprising the admixture composition. The disclosed admixture composition for a tile cement mortar comprises a cellulose ether, a polyacrylamide-based polymer coagulant and an inorganic coagulant.
Abstract:
The present invention provides additives for dry mix or tape joint compound compositions comprising one or more cellulose ether powders containing on its surface a polymeric additive chosen from polymeric colloidal stabilizers, polymeric fluidizers and combinations thereof. The additive is formed by methods of kneading at from 50 to 120° C. a wet cellulose ether mixture containing from 60 to 80 wt. % of water with from 0.1 to 10 wt. %, based on total cellulose ether solids, of a polymeric additive chosen from polymeric colloidal stabilizers, and polymeric fluidizers, and combinations thereof to form the additive; drying and grinding the additive; and, combining the additive with 0.1 to 20 wt. %, based on total cellulose ether solids, of a dry polyacrylamide.
Abstract:
Stable emulsions of silicone terminated polyethers and silicone resins are used to prepare one-component grout with very good mechanical properties gained within a short time after the grout cures by adding a proportion of aggregate to the emulsions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a construction chemical composition comprising Portland cement, a water retention agent, a dispersing agent, and a hardening accelerator comprising calcium-silicate-hydrate, as well as a mortar composition containing said construction chemical composition. Although the composition is based on Portland cement it has a pull-off strength after 6 h meeting the DIN requirements and can therefore be used as a fast setting tile mortar.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to water-resistant products which contain a wax emulsion, or silicones, or siliconates, or fluorinated compounds, or stearates, or combinations thereof. In some embodiments, the compound can be used to provide enhanced moisture resistance to joints, or holes such as screw holes or nail holes, in a wallboard.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a quick-drying gypsum composition, in particular for use as gypsum filling compound and for the production of floorcoverings, wherein the gypsum composition contains 20 to 70% of a mixture of calcium aluminate and calcium sulfate hemihydrate and/or anhydrite and/or calcium sulfate dihydrate as hydraulic binders and 30 to 80% by weight of fillers, and wherein the weight ratio of calcium aluminate to calcium sulfate hemihydrate and/or anhydrite and/or calcium sulfate dihydrate binders lies in the range from 1:1 to 1:5. Gypsum compositions of this type are characterized by a particularly beneficial shrinkage behavior, such that stresses and cracks in the dried composition can be avoided. At the same time, the gypsum compositions dry to readiness for covering in a time that is compatible with conventional cement filling compounds.
