The invention concerns a method for obtaining fuel-loaded exhaust gases by late and/or delayed injection(s) of fuel into a Diesel engine combustion chamber (12) of a motor vehicle (V) provided with an automatic gearbox (16) robotized or with constant torque variation. The invention is characterized in that the laws defining the reduction ratio of the gearbox (16) are modified to limit dilution of the fuel in the oil present in the combustion chamber.
