According to the invention, the measurement value transmitter (10) has at least one multipole (MP) which comprises at least two permanent magnets (M1, M2) that are arranged such that the mutually facing ends of directly adjacent permanent magnets (M1, M2) of the multipole (MP) have the same magnetic polarization (S).

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'identifier la position d'un arbre d'un moteur à combustion interne, dans lequel un disque indicateur muni d'au moins un trait de repère, qui est relié à l'arbre, est exploré par un moins un détecteur et où les signaux de sortie obtenus sont évalués dans l'appareil de commande. Afin de pouvoir connaître la position de l'arbre dès la mise en marche du moteur à combustion interne, la toute dernière position déterminée après l'arrêt du moteur à combustion interne et après le ralentissement de l'arbre est stockée dans une mémoire rémanente de l'appareil de commande et est réutilisée après la remise en route du moteur à combustion interne afin de déterminer et de contrôler les premières injections pendant la phase de démarrage. Afin d'améliorer la précision, une identification du sens de rotation est opérée afin qu'il soit possible de procéder à des corrections si l'arbre venait à se remettre légèrement en arrière en raison du mouvement de retour pendulaire du moteur.

In the fuel injection control device described, immediately after the engine has been started up, the position of the crankshaft and camshaft is determined. This is achieved either by means of an absolute transmitter system or by identification of the stopping point, with the angular position of the crankshaft or camshaft being memorized when stationary. Immediately after the engine has been restarted, fuel is injected into an open inlet valve in the appropriate phase. On commencement of rotation, further injections are triggered into one or several open or still closed inlet valves. Once correct synchronization has been achieved, the control device switches over to normal injection.

The generator disk is scanned by a sensor and the thus obtained output signals are evaluated in a control apparatus. For the position of the shaft to be known as soon as the internal combustion engine is started, the last detected position of the shaft after the internal combustion engine is turned off and the shaft has stopped is stored in a non-volatile storage of the control apparatus and is used when the internal combustion engine is restarted to determine and control the first injections during a starting phase. In order to improve accuracy, sense of rotation identification is also provided, so that a correction may be carried out should the shaft turn slightly backwards when the engine swings back.

The description relates to a sensor arrangement for cylinder identification in a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine with a crankshaft detector with an increment disc with a reference marking and a camshaft sensor with long and short segments and short and long spaces between the segments. The joint evaluation of the pulse sequences provided by both sensors allows to determine the length of the high and low phases. As the reference mark is also taken into account in the evaluation, the number of different segment lengths on the camshaft sensor disc can be reduced and the cylinder identified rapidly and positively. The evaluation of the crankshaft and camshaft signal provides for reliable control of the internal combustion engine. If the crankshaft sensor breaks down, the engine can still be run in emergency with the aid of the camshaft sensor.

Pressure march characteristics for specific valve control times are obtained by analysing the march of pressure in the combustion chamber via the crankshaft angle. Said characteristics enable the following valve control times to be deduced in relation to the crankshaft angle: 'outlet opens', 'outlet closes', 'inlet opens', 'inlet closes'.
