摘要： An apparatus and method of transceiving a bitstream, by which avideo bitstream is stably transmitted by the effective use of two logic channels when communication is established by the two logic channels during transmission of the video bitstream in a communication network, is provided. In this method, a source is encoded into a bitstream using a predetermined type of coding. Then, the encoded bitstream is transmitted to each communication protocol layer, while the header of each communication protocol layer is added to a payload. The header is transmitted separately from the bitstream.

The method includes: transmitting a codec selection request frame to the second device, the codec selection request frame includes an identifier of at least one codec to be used to compress the video content and requests approval of the use of the at least one codec; receiving a codec selection response frame from the second device, the codec selection response frame includes approval information indicating whether the use of the at least one codec is approved; and transmitting video content compressed by the at least one codec to the second device based on the codec selection response frame.

摘要： There is provided a novel architecture for transmitting multimedia data with different QoSs in a mobile communication system. In a protocol structure according to the present invention, an RLP layer receives data with different QoSs and dividing the data into datagrams according to the QoSs, a MUX layer multiplexes the datagrams received from the RLP layer and outputs multiplexed TU data, and a QCCH receives the multiplexed TU data and outputs TU blocks with the QoSs by puncturing and repeating information added according to the QoSs for the multiplexed TU data.

摘要： An apparatus for transmitting/receiving multimedia data including video data via a wireless packet in a radio transmitting/receiving system, and a method thereof are provided. The method comprises the step of performing uneven error- protection with respect to one source packet or a plurality of source packets. According to the present invention, error resilience of multimedia data (especially that of video data) can be increased by unevenly error-protecting with respect to the source packets without changing the stack of transmission/reception protocol in a conventional packet network such as H. 323.
