摘要:
A aqueous suspension preparations of hardly soluble drugs containing water soluble polymers at a concentration within a range from the concentration at which the decrease in the surface tension of the liquid preparations is initiated to the concentration at which such decrease is terminated. These preparations can be easily redispersed and undergo neither aggregation of the dispersed particles nor caking. The excellent redispersibility of these preparations makes them useful as injections, eye drops, nasal drops, drugs for internal use, lotions, etc.
摘要:
The aqueous suspension can be prepared by incorporating, in an aqueous suspension of a hardly soluble drug, a water-soluble polymer within the concentration range from the concentration at which the surface tension of the aqueous suspension of the drug begins to decrease up to the concentration at which the reduction in surface tension ceases. The resulting aqueous suspension shows ready redispersibility and will not undergo aggregation of dispersed particles or caking. Because of its good redispersibility, the suspension is useful as a parenteral preparation, eye drops, nasal drops, a preparation for oral administration, a lotion or the like.

Disclosed is an ocular transparent tissue-visualizing suspension which can be used as an easy-to-handle and sufficiently safe means to enhance visibility of transparent tissues of the eye during a surgical operation on them. The ocular transparent tissue-visualizing suspension comprises, in an aqueous medium, fine particles of a biodegradable macromolecular compound and at least one salt selected from the groups consisting of salts of trivalent metals and salts of divalent metals.

Described is a highly safe means to improve visibility of transparent tissues of the eye, i.e., the vitreous body, the lens or the cornea, in a surgical operation on them. The means comprises fine particles of a macromolecular compound, in particular, those one gram of which cannot be dissolved in less than 30 mL of water within 30 minutes at 20 °C, and whose average particle size is 0.01-500 µm, and which, among others, is a biodegradable macromolecular compound and/or a water soluble macromolecular compound.
