The device has a lubrication oil-delivering portion (20) with application bodies (22-1, 22-2) for applying a lubrication oil only to portions where the shaft (11) is in contact with the drive roller (12a) and the follower roller (12b).

The movement guiding device for vacuum environment comprises a rail member (1) having a rolling element rolling part (1a), a moving member (2) having rolling element circulation passages including loaded rolling element rolling parts (2a) facing the rolling element rolling part (1a) and movable relative to the rail member (1), a plurality of rolling elements (3) arranged in the rolling element circulation passage, and a lubricating oil storage member fitted to the moving member (2) without coming into contact with the rail member (1) and storing a lubricating oil. The lubricating oil storage member is exposed to a space between the rail member (1) and the moving member. The vaporized lubricating oil reaches the rolling element rolling part (1a), the loaded rolling element rolling parts (2a), and the rolling elements (3) for lubricating these parts.

A number of rollers 6 are arranged in cross shape and each of the rollers has a diameter D larger than a prescribed dimension. According to such roller screw, an optimum preload can be applied in accordance with the roller screw structure, thereby improving the rigidity of the roller screw.
