If an object cuts through the covering and into a person's skin, the sterilizing fluid will be released to help sterilize the infectious microbes in the region around the cut so that the microbes are rendered ineffective either before reaching the person's skin, after reaching the person's skin, or both. Various methods of making and using the covering are also disclosed.
