In the field of automatic analyzers, as items to be analyzed are increase, various reagents differing in such properties as liquid viscosity and contact angle are being used more frequently, and this trend is expected to continue. Also, reagents now take various forms (e.g., a concentrated reagent to be diluted by the water of an automatic analyzer), and so does dilution water. Such being the case, the invention provides an automatic analyzer capable of sufficient stirring regardless of items to be analyzed. To sufficiently stir a substance to which a reagent has been added, the automatic analyzer is designed to alter stirring conditions after a given amount of time has passed since the addition of that reagent.

The present invention refers to a mixing process, for the valorization of used cooking oils by means of a device with household appliance characteristics. The mixing process takes place in a particularly efficient way by means of the supply of a given load (A) of used cooking oils and of a corresponding load (B) of a solidifying composition to a mixing device, whereby certain previously defined amounts of thermal energy are supplied, notably an initial amount until reaching a given temperature level, and an additional amount during a given mixing period. The present invention further refers to a mixing device for said mixing process that presents substantially airtight conditions and eventually, thermal and mechanical energy supply means, as well as monitoring and control means specific of the execution of said mixing process.

The dimensions of fermenters used in the fermentation of biogenic wastes for the purpose of producing biogas keep increasing together with the absolute amount in heavy solids in the biogenic wastes (9). As a result, the sediments on the bottom of the fermenter tank and the torque required for setting the agitator moving after a period of standstill increase, too. In order to solve this problem, the shaft (10) extending longitudinally through the fermenter is provided at the ends of the agitator arms (12) with paddles (13). These paddles (13), in the one direction of rotation convey matter, and in the other direction of rotation plough the matter. For this purpose, two shares (15) are disposed at an acute angle to each other and are formed onto the end of an H-beam (20). A scraper sheet (19) is welded to the lower end of the two shares (15). The paddle area is delimited by a paddle sheet (18). The front edge (16) of the two shares can be reinforced by a V-shaped profile.
