The present invention provides a soft polyurethane foam molded article (1) that has a mounting surface (1A) and is obtained by foam-molding a foaming stock solution. The soft polyurethane foam molded article (1) includes a plurality of layered parts (11 and 12) that form layers in a vertical direction (Y) perpendicular to the mounting surface. A plurality of foaming cells included in each of the layered parts have a ratio of a size in a lateral direction (X) along the mounting surface with respect to a size in the vertical direction that becomes larger as the foaming cells become positioned closer to the side of the mounting surface (1A) in the vertical direction. At boundaries (C1 and A2) between the layered parts adjacent to each other in the vertical direction, the ratio of a foaming cell included in the layered part (11) on the side of the mounting surface is lower than the ratio of a foaming cell included in the layered part (12) on the side of a back surface (1B) opposite to the side of the mounting surface.

The interior portion is comprised of a first flexible foam, while the outer portion is comprised of a second flexible foam having a density different than that of the first flexible foam. Methods of producing a pillow are also provided whereby either a first foam precursor is dispensed into a central portion of a mold to provided a first flexible foam, or a pre-formed foam insert comprised of a first flexible foam is placed into a central portion of a mold. A second foam precursor is then subsequently dispensed into a peripheral portion of the mold to produce a second flexible foam having a density different than that of the first flexible foam. Upon reaction and expansion of the foam precursors, a molded foam pillow is produced having dual densities.

The outer shell and the inner shell may be unitary rigid structures made of an expanded foam material and comprising a bottom having a perimeter and sides extending from the bottom perimeter and terminating in a rim. The inner shell rim may be spaced from the outer shell rim to define a gap, the gap being sealed to create an enclosed space within which the vacuum insulated panels are located. Each vacuum insulated panel may be oriented substantially orthogonally to at least one adjacent vacuum insulated panel and have an edge that abuts the adjacent vacuum insulated panels.

The invention relates to multi-layer articles consisting of at least one layer of a foamed fluoropolymer. The article is formed by co-extrusion in which the foamed layer is coextruded as a foam, and not foamed in a secondary process. Preferably the fluoropolymer foam is a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), such as KYNAR PVDF from Arkema Inc. The article could be sized into a specific shape during the manufacturing process. Useful multi-layer articles of the invention include pipe, tube, sheet, profile, film, jacketing or any other multilayer foam-core articles are especially useful.
