Abstract: Method for manufacturing floor panels, wherein the floor panels (1) comprise a carrier (11) on the basis of thermoplastic material and a top layer (13) provided on the carrier (11); characterized in that the method comprises at least the steps of strewing the thermoplastic material and consolidating the strewn thermoplastic material; that the method also comprises the step of foaming the thermoplastic material, and that the thermoplastic material to this aim is provided with a blowing agent; and that the thermoplastic material comprises plasticizer in an amount up to maximum 20 phr, preferably in an amount smaller than 20 phr, and still more preferably in an amount between 5 and 15 phr.

Abstract: A structure forming, on a surface thereof, a rough surface portion 1 having a maximum height of roughness Rz in a range of 0.5 to 5.0 µm, and forming, on the rough surface portion 1, a thin liquid film 3 having a thickness in a range of not less than 0.1 µm but less than 3.4 µm. Abstract: Disclosed are methods, compositions, structures and uses for a biaxially oriented, multilayered film that may include a core layer comprising LLDPE, such as mLLDPE, wherein the core layer is flanked by a first skin layer and a second skin layer. This same type (e.g., melting index, density, and/or melting peak) of LLDPE, or different type(s) or blends thereof may be in the first skin layer and/or the second skin layer, wherein the first skin layer is located on a first side of the core layer, and the second skin layer is located on a second of the core layer, wherein the first side is on an opposite side of the core layer as compared to the second side. The biaxially oriented, multilayered film may have a sealing strength of at least 400 g/cm at 100° C. under a pressure of 41 N/cm2 at a dwell time of 0.75 s.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, compositions and structures that, in one example embodiment, is a film that includes a multilayered base film comprising a core and at least one printable coating applied to at least one outer surface of the multi-layered film. The at least one printable coating may include an acrylic-based polymer, and have a dry coating weight is within a range from 0.1 g/m2 through 0.9 g/m2 with a pH of at least 9. The film complies with European regulations for use in food-contact packaging and labeling, which are examples of applications for the disclosed films.

Abstract: A UV-curable pressure sensitive adhesive, a package having an adhesive-based reclosable fastener including the pressure sensitive adhesive, and a method of forming the package is described herein. The package includes a cavity and opposing panels configured to cover an opening to the cavity. The reclosable fastener is a UV-cured pressure sensitive adhesive comprised of one or more UV-curable acrylic oligomers, one or more tack control components, and, optionally, an elastomeric material. An adhesive component ratio defines an effective ratio made up of the weight percent of the UV-curable acrylic oligomer relative to the sum of the weight percents of the tack control component and elastomeric component, where the ratio provides a fastener with a first peel adhesion and subsequent peel adhesions effective to form the adhesive-based fastener into a reclosable fastener.

Abstract: Bio-composite pultruded products (100, 104, 107, 110, 114, 117) either in “I” profile or “Plate” profile of higher cross sectional area where said products consisting essentially natural fibres selected from hemp, jute, sisal and. flex as core impregnated with a resin system comprise of at least one resin, curing system comprising a curing agent and an accelerator, a filler, a thinner, pigment or any other additives; encapsulated between bi-directionally and/or uni-directionally oriented synthetic fabric selected from polyester, carbon, aramid, glass, basalt and mixtures thereof impregnated with said resin system are provided. in another bio-composite pultruded products either of “I” profile or “Plate” profile of higher cross sectional area where said products consisting of plank of short fibers bagasse premixed with the said resin system as core is enclosed between the natural fibers selected from hemp, jute, sisal and flex impregnated with the resin system which is further enclosed between bi-directionally and/or uni-directionally oriented synthetic fabric selected from polyester, carbon, aramid, glass, basalt and mixtures thereof impregnated with the resin system. The system and method for the preparations of said bio-composite pultruded products, are also illustrated herein. These products lead to a significant reduction in weight and reduction in density with higher stiffness and bending strength. The present bio-composite products are encapsulated by fabrics in the peripheral area brings more integrity uniformity of jute materials. This leads to a significant cost reduction in a without sacrificing much tensile strength.
