Abstract:
A method for coaxially connecting a first plastic tube (10, 110) to a second plastic tube (20, 120), said plastic tubes (10, 20) in particular being provided as part of a medical catheter (102), the two plastic tubes (10, 20) being connected by way of a tubular connecting piece (50), characterized in that the first plastic tube (10) and/or the second plastic tube (20) are integrally molded from the outside onto the tubular connecting piece (50) using a forming process such that an adhesive and/or positive connection is produced.
Abstract:
Electroflision joint, its production process and its management device, the production method of which is characterised by the following steps: production of the end of the socket pipe, installation of at least one electrical resistance, possible coating of said electrical resistance, protection of the entire spigot joint.
Abstract:
A pipe from a plastic material having memory properties is extruded. The extruded pipe is cut to form a pipe part (7). The pipe part (7) is warmed and the end (6b) of the pipe part (7) is bent. The pipe part (7) forms a clamping ring (6) and the bent end (6b) of the pipe part (7) forms a stop edge (10) in the clamping ring (6).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter housing (1), comprising: an extruded tube with at least one expanded end (2); and a bush (3) arranged in the expanded end (2). The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing an above stated filter housing (1), which method comprises the steps of: providing an extruded tube, heating an end of the extruded tube, expanding the end (2) of the tube, arranging a bush (3) in the expanded end (2).
Abstract:
A plastic pipe provided with a socket and a method of providing a plastic pipe with a socket, whereby the socket (2e) comprises at least two layers. The orientation of at least one socket layer is different from the orientation of another layer and the orientation of at least one layer is different from the orientation of a body portion (2d) of the plastic pipe (2). The socket (2e) is made for instance from a plastic pipe (2) comprising at least two layers (2a to 2c). The orientation temperatures of at least two different layers (2a to 2c) are different. The plastic pipe (2) is heated to a temperature at which the material of at least one layer is oriented during expansion and the material of at least one layer is substantially not oriented during expansion. The end of the plastic pipe is expanded at said temperature so as to provide it with a socket (2e).
Abstract:
A method (150) and apparatus (100) for forming a flanged polytetrafluoroethylene cuffed section (18, 20) from a tubular polytetrafluoroethylene graft (10). The flanged polytetrafluoroethylene graft (10) is well suited for use as a distal bypass graft, for arterio-venous grafting, or as a hemodialysis access graft. The graft (10) is characterized by an integral terminal polytetrafluoroethylene flanged skirt (56) or cuff (18, 20) section which facilitates an end-to-side anastomosis directly between an artery and the polytetrafluoroethylene flanged graft (10) without need for an intervening venous collar or venous patch.
Abstract:
Method for renovation of pipelines, comprising introduction of a lining pipe into an existing pipeline, said lining pipe having a length corresponding to the length to be renovated, and consisting of a fusible polymer in a folded condition and unfolding of the lining pipe in order to line the pipeline. The lining pipe is built up by introducing lining layer (1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) into the pipeline to be lined, which layers are pressurised and successively fused together by subjecting each layer (1, 4-9) to fusion heat from a heat-source (3), which is carried along the inside of the innermost layer of lining built up so far.
