The object of providing a composite material for thermal insulation and sound insulation, said material having a much better insulating effect than the prior art, is met by the composite material for thermal and sound insulation according to the invention, said material comprising individual flat layers of different materials, wherein at least three layers (1, 2, 3) are used and wherein the material of the outer layers (1, 2) is adapted for weaving through the at least one middle (3) layer. A granular stone layer is applied to an outer soft-meltable bitumen layer (1) with/without powdered stone filling, and on top of this at least one middle layer (3) is applied a final soft-meltable bitumen layer (2) with/without powdered stone filling, wherein the aggregate condition of both outer bitumen layers (1, 2) is selected such that soft-meltable bitumen of the top layer (2) flows through the at least one middle layer (3) to the bottom layer (1), finally cures in the bottom bitumen layer (1) and thus forms a weaving of the at least one middle layer (3).

Eine Dampfsperrbahn auf Bitumenbasis, insbesondere Elastomerbitumenbasis, ist erfindungsgemäß mit Schiefer (5) bestreut. Bekannt ist, dass die oberste Schicht eines Daches mit Schiefer bestreut ist. Diese soll jedoch wesentlich weniger wasserdampfdicht sein als die Dampfsperrbahn. Die Verwendung der Bestreuung mit Schiefer (5) bei einer Dampfsperrbahn bringt verschiedene Vorteile, wie leichtere Erkennbarkeit mechanischer Schäden, besserer Klebeverbund mit der darüber anzubringenden Wärmedämmung sowie UV- und Witterungsschutz im Falle einer Bauunterbrechung.
