The invention relates to a method for attaching marking labels (40) to a plurality of electrical devices (2) that can be arranged on a support rail (6), each having a marking field (20) to which a marking label that can be inscribed (40) can be secured, wherein the electrical devices (2) are arranged side by side along a longitudinal direction (X) to provide an assembly (1) such that the marking fields (20) of the electrical devices (2) connect to one another along the longitudinal direction (X) and form a continuous row extended along the longitudinal direction (X). A marking strip (4), which has a plurality of marking labels (40) which are associated with the marking fields (20) of the electrical devices (2) and can be inscribed with a laser inscription device (5), is secured to the electrical devices (2) along the row and the marking labels (40) are then separated such that at least one marking label (40) is arranged on the marking field (20) of each electrical device (2). In this way, a method is provided for attaching marking labels to electrical devices, which method enables an inscription of electrical devices, for example series terminals, in a simple automatable manner.
