Provided is a vehicle behavior transmission device which is capable of presenting in advance vehicle behavior in such a way as to allow an occupant to easily and intuitively understand the vehicle behavior which occurs during automated driving control. The vehicle behavior transmission device in an automated driving vehicle capable of automatically controlling the vehicle behavior includes: a vehicle behavior calculation unit 12 which calculates the vehicle behavior during the automated driving control; an emission pattern determination unit 13 which determines a pattern of emission according to the calculated vehicle behavior; and an indication unit 2 which includes a light source disposed on a steering wheel and indicates a direction in which the vehicle behavior occurs by causing the light source to emit light according to the pattern of emission.

The indicator comprises: a light-emitting member capable of emitting light, wherein the light-emitting member has a segment with a shape corresponding to an outline of a gate groove; a face panel disposed in opposed relation to the light-emitting member, and adapted, during the light-emitting of the light-emitting member, to allow light having the shape corresponding to the outline of the gate groove to be transmitted therethrough; and a cover member disposed just above the face panel, and formed with an opening which surrounds a position where the light transmitted through the face panel appears on an outer surface of the face panel.

A light guide for a transmission shifter assembly includes a light member having a top light transmitting surface, and a reflective bottom surface. The light member also includes first and second ends, as well as first and second sides. At least one light emitting diode is integrally formed with the light member. The light emitting diode produces light for backlighting the transmission shifter assembly.

An automatic transmission lever position indicating device (10) comprising a housing (12) including a face wall structure (16) presenting within an opaque background a sequence of translucent characters (20) corresponding in sequence with the positions of the lever. A circuit board is mounted within the housing including leads for receiving and transmitting signals including the input signals of the automatic transmission. An illuminating assembly is carried by the circuit board for illuminating all of the sequence of translucent characters (20) and additionally indicating by illumination one of the sequence of translucent characters (20) corresponding to the position the lever is in. The illuminating assembly includes a light emitting diode (32) associated with each translucent character (20) of the sequence, the light emitting diodes (32) being connected with the leads for energizing the light emitting diodes (32) in a manner determined by the input signals received so as to illuminate the one light emitting diode (32) associated with the translucent character (20) of the sequence corresponding to the position the lever is in so that the illumination of the associated one light emitting diode (32) provides said additional indication by illumination.
