A train detection system permits reliable train detection by a simple construction of the whole train detection apparatus, using a track circuit 1. A transmitter 11a adds data of a first unique code 1A to a train detective signal received from a wayside controller 100 and transmits it to a track circuit 1. A receiver 11b adds data of a second unique code 1B to the train detective signal added with the first unique code data 1A received from the track circuit 1 and transmits it to the wayside controller 100. The wayside controller 100 checks whether or not the data received from the receiver 11b agrees with predetermined data.

The track circuit indicated in the title is used in railway plant or the like, and comprises a track segment (3) which is isolated electrically from the adjacent segments (3) by means of electrical splices (4) which consist of a conductor connecting the rails in the shape of an "S" laid flat in the direction of the axis of the track (1, 2), there being provided stationary ground transmission and reception units (T1 to T6, R1 to R6) for each track segment (3) and on-board mobile reception units on the trains in transit and the data or the information (S) transmitted by the ground units to the on-board units being conveyed through the rails of each isolated track segment (3) when the train is travelling by thereon. According to the invention, with each track segment (3) there is associated a compensation network consisting of capacitors (7) connected to the rails of the track segment (3) and suitably spaced apart. Particular embodiments are provided of the electrical splice (4) and of the transmission/reception units (T1-T6, R1-R6).

Bei diesem Verfahren bzw. dieser Schaltungsanordnung erfolgt eine Erhöhung der Sicherheit der Signalübertragung in Gleisstromkreisen durch Einfügen einer sicheren Telegrammauswertung derart, daß ein empfangenes Gleistelegramm bitweise mit einem ungestörten, von einem Telegrammgenerator bereitgestellten Vergleichstelegramm verglichen wird. Um hierbei den Zustand gestört dann zu signalisieren, wenn in zwei oder mehreren aufeinanderfolgenden Gleistelegrammen ein Fehler auftritt, wird das empfangene Gleistelegramm auf Gleichheit zu einem ungestörten Vergleichstelegramm geprüft und in eine Taktfrequenz so umgesetzt, daß die Phasenlage des Ergebnis der Gleichheitsprüfung wird und eine telegrammzahlabhängige Verzögerung für den Übergang in den gestörten bzw. nicht gestörten Zustand programmierbar ist.
