    摘要: A continuous conveyor, for example a conveying belt for transporting heavy bulk material or articles, comprises an endless transporting belt (1) which circulates between a drive roller (2) and a deflecting roller (3). The drive roller (2) is driven by a permanently excited high-pole synchronous motor (6) which, at a comparatively low nominal rotational speed, provides for a very high torque. The synchronous motor (6) can drive the drive roller (2) directly or, as an alternative, can also drive the same via a single-stage reduction-gear mechanism (15) with a low step-down factor. The drive according to the invention is distinguished by a mass moment of inertia which is up to 10 times lower than that of conventional drive systems. This vastly reduces the risk of damage to, or even cracking of, the transporting belt (1) in the event of problems, and therefore the operational reliability is significantly increased.

    摘要: An inductive energy transfer system for supplying energy from a stationary primary rail to a number of movable secondary rails each connected to a movable unit is disclosed. The system is particularly suited for conveyor units of a sorter system, each unit having article-supporting means, the energy provided from the energy transfer system being used primarily for discharging articles from the article-supporting means. The primary rail as well as the secondary rails are provided are provided with legs so that the legs in an operational position are overlapping so as to reduce the losses caused by the air gap between the primary rail and the secondary rails. The movable units are each equipped with an electrical battery for smoothen the load from the movable unit on the primary side of the transfer system.

Said device is driven directly or indirectly from the motion of the conveyor belt or from the motion of other components fitted to the endless system. The power take off comprises a hydraulic pump (23) which is rotated by the motion of the endless conveyor and generates fluid at pressure via an adjustable relief valve and maintains a constant self adjusting force to actuators (62), automatically compensating for wear that takes place on the equipment being operated and providing an automatic and interlocked source of power, generating pressure only when the conveyor belt system operates.

Each indentation (44) is configured to receive a safety member (46) of the folding apparatus (11), such that with the safety member (46) being inserted into one of the indentations (44) rotation of the connecting shaft (36) about the rotation axis (B) is blocked.
