摘要:
A power stacker 11 for collecting delivered articles such as envelopes from a mailing machine has a support housing 12 having a deck 31 fixed along the housing. A registration wall 145 is fixed to the housing and extends generally perpendicular relative to the deck. A stack wall 111 is slidably attached to the housing at one end of the deck and has a reclining surface 115 extended generally upwardly from the deck. The stack wall can be horizontally displaced relative to the deck. Support rods are provided for providing article support between the deck and displaced stack wall as well as between the registration and displaced stack wall. Threaded hubs cause the delivered articles to be collected against the stack wall and to assume a stacked orientation generally parallel to the reclining surface.

@ A stacker for rigid and semi-rigid sheet or pad-like products forming individual stacks thereof of specific count and with the edges of the product in each stack aligned. The stacker comprises at least one pair of multi-thread screws, being mirror images of each other, rotating continuously at the same speed but in opposite directions, being so radially aligned that corresponding threads of the screws occupy corresponding positions, and being arranged in side-by-side relationship with their corresponding threads opposed. Products are continuously fed between the screws of the at least one pair, each product being supported by a set of corresponding threads of both screws. All corresponding sets of threads are so loaded and each product is shifted downwardly by its respective thread set while simultaneously being urged forwardly against a stop to align the front and rear edges thereof. The initial portion of the shaft of each multi-thread screw tapers downwardly and outwardly to align the side edges of the products. When all of the corresponding thread sets have been product filled, the corresponding thread sets terminate one-by-one so as to accumulate a stack from top to bottom, the last thread set to terminate depositing a stack of aligned products equal in number to the number of threads per screw. A single-thread, large pitch screw can be located beneath and coaxial with each of the multi-thread screws, the single-thread screws cooperating to convey or convey and accummulate product stacks formed by the multi-thread screws, depending on the rotational speed of the single-thread screws relative to the multi-thread screws.

An apparatus for stacking flat articles on-edge has a helical drive assembly with spaced-apart helical screws. The helical screws receive and hold the articles on-edge therebetween, and eject the articles towards a stack holding unit. The stack holding unit is configured to hold a stack of articles on-edge separately from the helical screws. The apparatus includes a conveyor that supports the lower edges of the articles during their transport to the stack holding unit. The stack holding unit has an article entry opening with a height that is smaller than a height of the articles to be stacked during operation, and the height of the article entry opening is preferably adjustable.

To provide a product accumulation device with superior general-purpose capabilities, being able to cope with the modified specification of target products only by partially altering the structure thereof. An accumulation means 3 of a product accumulation device 1 comprises: a rotary member 11 having a product contact surface 10 relative to products supplied from the product supply means 2; and a guide member 12 that is provided with the rotary member 11 and that shifts the products from the product contact surface 10 to an approximately perpendicular direction relative to the product contact surface 10 by means of the rotation of the rotation member 11, thereby being able to cope with the modified specification of target products only by partially altering its structure.

A stacker (10) for plate members includes a platform (15) on which plate members (20) are to be stacked and at least one pair of guides (11, 13) disposed at both sides of the platform (15) relative to a transferring direction of the plate members. Each of the guides (11, 13) has a ridge (12a, 14a) spirally formed on a rotational axial portion (12, 14) and a groove (12b, 14b) formed along the ridge (12a, 14a). The aforementioned at least one pair of guides (11, 13) are rotated with opposite edges of the plate member (20) engaged with the grooves (12b, 14b) of the guides (11, 13), to thereby move the plate member (20) toward the platform (15).

A device for affixing detachable data-carrying cards (1) on carrier sheets (2), in particular sheets of paper, has a magazine (3) which supplies the data carrier cards (1) with a card separator, a reading station (4), a card guide (5, 21) and an affixing station (6) in which the individual data-carrying cards (1) are applied to cyclically movable carrier sheets (2) labelled to match the cards and affixed by holding tabs formed from the carrier sheets (2). The device also has a housing (82) in which a coding station (80) and a labelling station (81) are arranged one behind the other in the direction of flow (C) of the plastic cards (1). On the outside of the housing (82), a separating magazine (83) which dispenses the individual plastic cards (1) is arranged on the housing in front of the coding station (80) in the direction of flow (C) and a pile delivery magazine (84) in which the labelled plastic cards (1) are collected is arranged behind the labelling station (81). The pile delivery magazine (84) has a passage for rejected cards (1), which are transported through the piling magazine (84) unlabelled if a defect is detected in the coding station.

An apparatus for stacking a plurality of flat articles on edge, comprising a discharge magazine (16), the discharge magazine including moveable discharge support belts (68a, 68b) and a moveable compression plate (70). A stacker section adjacent the discharge magazine transport articles sequentially into the stack, the stacker section comprising stacker belts (26a, 26b) extending around a plurality of rollers (28a, 28b, 30a, 32a, 32b). The last of the articles in the stack abuts against the stacker belts adjacent one of the rollers (32) to apply a compressive force developed by the stack of flat articles and the compression plate to the one roller. The one roller is movably mounted to the apparatus for movement responsive to increases and decreases in the compressive force. A deflection plate (150) is positioned proximate the one moveable roller to deflect leaning sides of the articles. An actuator element (20) is operatively connected to the one roller and connected to the drive element for activating the drive belts and the discharge support belts.

A paper sheet stacking unit (paper sheet stacking apparatus) (54) includes a coil (70) provided in a stacking space with an axis (71) of the coil intersecting an expected stacking surface and a bottom end of the coil being in proximity to the expected stacking surface. The coil (70) spins about the coil axis, while holding a rim of an entering bill, to move the entering bill toward the expected stacking surface, and then releases the hold of the rim of the entering bill to stack the bill on the expected stacking surface. The coil (70) also presses the bills stacked on the expected stacking surface. That is, the coil (70) has both functions of guiding unit and pressing unit of bills.
