Provided are a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, a protective film, an optical device, and a display device. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition may exhibit suitable low speed and high speed peel-off strengths after forming a crosslinking structure, and have an excellent balance between them. Accordingly, the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition may exhibit an excellent protective effect when applied to a protective film, may be easily peeled in a high speed peel-off and thus advantageous for the high speed process, and may exhibit an excellent antistatic characteristic.

A proposal is made for a la,bel (1) which can be adhered to an article (5), more particularly to a beverage bottle, and can be detached again in a washing liquid at a washing temperature of at least 50°C, in the form of a laminate at least with the following layers: a biaxially stretched polymeric film layer (9) which shrinks at the washing temperature, a printed decoration layer (11), and an adhesive layer (13), more particularly a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, for adhering the label (1) to the article (5). The polymeric film layer (9) is designed in such a way that in the laminate at the washing temperature within a maximum time span of less than 5 minutes, in particular less than 3 minutes, it attains degrees of contraction in its two stretching directions which differ from one another by less than 50% and are preferably lower than 50%. As a result of this, whereas the adhesive force between the label (1) and the article (5) is high, the label (1) can be washed off from the article (5) without splitting.

Provided are a surface protection sheet with excellent weatherability, good anti-residue properties and low-contaminating properties and a water-dispersed PSA composition for surface protection sheets. The surface protection sheet provided by this invention comprises a PSA layer and a support substrate. The PSA layer is formed from a water-dispersed PSA composition comprising an acrylic polymer and a crosslinking- agent. The acrylic polymer is obtained by emulsion polymerization of a starting monomer mixture comprising 50 to 99.9 wt. % C 1-20 alkyl (meth)acrylate and 0.1 to 5 wt. % carboxy group-containing monomer. The crosslinking agent comprises one, two or more species selected from a group consisting of oxazoline-based crosslinking agents, isocyanate-based crosslinking agents and epoxy-based crosslinking agents. The support substrate comprises 50 % by weight or more polyolefin resin and 5 to 30 % by weight inorganic powder.
