摘要: Improved processes and systems are disclosed for producing renewable hydrogen suitable for reducing metal ores, as well as for producing activated carbon. Some variations provide a process comprising: pyrolyzing biomass to generate a biogenic reagent comprising carbon and a pyrolysis off-gas; converting the pyrolysis off-gas to additional reducing gas and/or heat; reacting at least some of the biogenic reagent with a reactant to generate a reducing gas; and chemically reducing a metal oxide in the presence of the reducing gas. Some variations provide a process for producing renewable hydrogen by biomass pyrolysis to generate a biogenic reagent, conversion of the biogenic reagent to a reducing gas, and separation and recovery of hydrogen from the reducing gas. A reducing-gas composition for reducing a metal oxide is provided, comprising renewable hydrogen according to a hydrogen-isotope analysis. Reacted biogenic reagent may also be recovered as an activated carbon product. Many variations are disclosed.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing syngas, the method including: (S1) heat-treating organic wastes under a catalyst in a first reactor to produce a first mixed gas; (S2) separating the catalyst and carbon dioxide (CO2) from the first mixed gas, and recovering a mixed gas from which the catalyst and the carbon dioxide (CO2) have been removed; (S3) converting the carbon dioxide (CO2) separated in (S2) into carbon monoxide (CO) by a reverse Boudouard reaction in a second reactor; and (S4) mixing the mixed gas recovered in (S2) and the carbon monoxide (CO) converted in (S3) to produce syngas.

摘要: The invention relates to a method of making a syngas, the method including: (S1) heat-treating organic waste in a first reactor to produce a first mixed gas; (S2) introducing the first mixed gas to a second reactor and subjecting it to methane reforming in the presence of a catalyst to produce a second mixed gas; (S3) separating the catalyst and carbon dioxide from the second mixed gas and recovering a third mixed gas from which the catalyst and the carbon dioxide have been removed; (S4) converting the carbon dioxide separated in (S3) into carbon monoxide through a reverse Boudouard reaction in a third reactor; and (S5) mixing the third mixed gas recovered in (S3) and the carbon monoxide converted in (S4) to produce syngas, The invention further relates to an apparatus for making a syngas.

摘要: The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of syngas including: (S1) heat-treating organic wastes under hydrogen and a catalyst in a first reactor; (S2) separating the catalyst and the hydrogen from a product of (S1) and recovering a first mixed gas from which the catalyst and the hydrogen have been removed; (S3) reforming the first mixed gas recovered in (S2) with water vapor; (S4) separating carbon dioxide from a product of (S3) and recovering a second mixed gas from which the carbon dioxide has been removed; (S5) converting the carbon dioxide separated in (S4) into carbon monoxide through a reverse Boudouard reaction in the second reactor; and (S6) mixing the hydrogen separated in (S2), the mixed gas recovered in (S4), and the carbon monoxide converted in (S5) to produce syngas.
