    摘要： The present invention relates to a deformable arrangement for securing an elongated post (10) or column to a fundament (11). The post or column has a longitudinal axis (A). The arrangement comprises: at least three screws (34), said each screw having a longitudinal axis (B) substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis (B) of the other screws and the longitudinal axis (A) of the post or column; guiding means (21); at least two substantially circular washers (33) for each screw (34; and a flange (30) extending substantially transverse to the longitudinal axis (A). The guiding means (21) are arranged on the outside periphery of the post or column and the flange (30) is arranged on the fundament, alternatively the flange arranged on the post or column and the guiding means on the fundament, said screws (34) are extending within said guiding means (21) and said recesses (31) and the flange (30) and the guiding means (21) clamped between the washers (33) in order to secure the post (10) or column to the fundament (11).

    摘要： A cable release anchor (12) having an improved breakaway post design with a cable release feature. The cable release anchor includes upper (32) and lower (30) anchor portions that are readily separable from one another during an impact. A bearing plate is retained within the end of each of the upper and lower anchor portions, and each bearing plate (46, 48) has a bearing surface that is oriented at an acute angle with the vertical when installed in the ground. Each of these bearing plates contains a U-shaped cutout (54, 72). When the upper and lower anchor portions are joined, the cutouts form an opening through which an end of the tension cable is disposed. An impact to the upper anchor portion readily releases the upper post section from the lower post section and frees the cable. The cable release anchor provides positive anchorage to react the tensile loads on a rail member to redirect a vehicle impacting along the length of the terminal or guardrail.

The breakaway collar (100) includes a sidewall (102) which surrounds the sign support post (32). The sidewall (102) includes at least one substantially vertical line of weakness (120) configured to facilitate a portion of the sidewall (102) to give way. The sidewall (102) retains the sign support post (32) in a manner to define a fulcrum (134) about which the sign support post (32) turns when a vehicle impacts and exerts a lateral force at an impact location, with the fulcrum (134) being positioned below the impact location so that the support post (32) will swing generally away from the vehicle.
