The crowns of the teeth lie on a curved envelope forming the perimeter of the rotor. The perimeter has a non-circular profile having at least two protruding portions (22, 23) alternating with receding portions (24, 25). The distance between the midpoints (V) of the crowns (9) of each pair of adjacent teeth is substantially the same. The profile of the valley (8) between each pair of adjacent teeth is substantially the same. The distance between the midpoint (V) , of each crown (9) and the axis (A) of the rotor varies around the perimeter to produce the said non-circular profile.

The present invention relates to a cooling system for an internal combustion engine comprising a cylinder head (11) affixed to a cylinder block (7) defining a plurality of cylinders and a cylinder head coolant jacket (135) for circulating coolant between an intake and exhaust side of the cylinder head (11), said cylinder (11) head having at least one intake passage (11c) extending through one side of said cylinder head (11) and at least one exhaust passage (11d) extending through another side of said cylinder head (11). The cooling system is improved in that a flow regulating member (138) is provided in the cylinder head coolant jacket (135) between adjacent cylinders (XI,XL) for regulating a transverse flow of coolant through the cylinder head jacket (135) between the intake and exhaust sides. According to another aspect of the invention, the cylinder head coolant jacket (135) is communicated with the cylinder block coolant jacket (134) for circulating the coolant therethrough after cooling the cylinder head (11), and a coolant main passage (135a) is formed along one side of the cylinder head (11) for circulating the coolant through the cylinder head coolant jacket transversely from said one side to the opposite side of the cylinder head (11).

The two half-runners (11) and (12) are housed inside the dead space existing between the sprocket wheels (19) and (20) and the transmission chain (21) which connects them. In an alternative form of practical embodiment of the invention, the guides (14) are provided with flanges (28) which totally enclose the two transmission chain branches (21).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Ausgleichen von Massenmomenten an Hubkolben-Brennkraftmaschinen, insbesondere mit V-förmiger Zylinderanordnung und 90° Zylinderwinkel, mit einer von der Kurbelwelle angetriebenen Ausgleichswelle (30) mit mehreren Ausgleichsgewichten (58,60), wobei die Ausgleichswelle (30) in der Ölwanne (94) der Brennkraftmaschine angeordnet ist. Zur Erzielung einer einfachen, montagegünstigen Konstruktion ist die Ausgleichswelle (30) in einem an das Kurbelgehäuse (16) der Brennkraftmaschine (10) anschließendem, oberen Gehäuseabschnitt der zumindest zweiteiligen Ölwanne (16) gelagert.
