    摘要: There is provided a mechanical locking pin assembly comprising a hollow cylindrical locking pin retractable into the through bore and having an extended position protruding from the member, a spring seat for mounting within the through bore to grip the inner wall of the through bore, and a spring disposed within the locking pin and acting on the spring seat to urge the locking pin away from the spring seat toward the extended position. The spring seat comprises an end plate and plurality of protrusions extending axially from the perimeter of the end plate toward the locking pin. Complimentary axially extending slots are formed in the cylindrical side wall of the locking pin for receiving the protrusions of the spring seat in both the extended and retracted positions of the locking pin. When used in a cam phaser, this proposal enables a phaser of a shorter overall length.

    摘要: A control method for a continuously variable valve lift mechanism includes: controlling a continuously variable valve lift mechanism (100) to enter a limp mode when the continuously variable valve lift mechanism (100) fails and disables an automatic valve lift changing function; driving and forcing the continuously variable valve lift mechanism (100) to move to a maximum lift position; and triggering a self locking function to self lock the continuously variable valve lift mechanism (100) at the maximum lift position when the continuously variable valve lift mechanism (100) reaches the maximum lift position. A control system for a continuously variable valve lift mechanism, a vehicle, an apparatus and a nonvolatile computer storage medium are also provided. With the control method for the continuously variable valve lift mechanism, a vehicle may be guaranteed to be started and travel smoothly when the continuously variable valve lift mechanism fails and disables the automatic valve lift changing function.

    摘要: The present teaching aims to provide: a cam angle sensor fault diagnosis apparatus for a straddled vehicle, capable of detecting a fault of a cam angle sensor installed in a straddled vehicle and guessing a fault place; an engine system; and a straddled vehicle. A cam angle sensor fault diagnosis apparatus for a straddled vehicle includes: a cam signal receiving unit connected to a signal output line through which a cam angle sensor outputs a cam signal in accordance with the rotation angle, the cam signal receiving unit being configured to receive a cam signal via the signal output line; a state determination unit that determines one or two fault states of the cam angle sensor from a disconnection state, a power supply fault state, and a ground fault state, distinguishably from the other fault states, in accordance with a signal level of a cam signal received by the cam signal receiving unit; and a signal output unit that outputs a fault signal representing the one or two fault states determined by the state determination unit, in such a manner that the fault signal representing the one or two fault states is different from a fault signal representing the other fault states.

    摘要: Provided is an internal combustion engine including two intake valves for each cylinder, the internal combustion engine including: a fixed cam for driving one of the two intake valves with a lift characteristic having a valve opening timing close to a top dead center; a variable valve actuation mechanism capable of changing, in accordance with an engine running condition, lift characteristics between a low-lift characteristic having an event angle and a lift amount each being smaller than an event angle and a lift amount of the fixed cam, and a high-lift characteristic having the event angle and the lift amount each being larger than the event angle and the lift amount of the fixed cam; and a variable cam for driving another of the two intake valves, the variable cam including the variable valve actuation mechanism, in which the variable valve actuation mechanism is configured to set the lift characteristic of the variable cam so as to obtain a valve opening timing on a retard side relative to the valve opening timing of the fixed cam in a case of the low-lift characteristic.
