Dabei wird die Verbrennungsluft zur Luftsauganlage (3) über einen Luftführungskanal (5) gefördert, der in das Verteilerrohr (4) mündet, wobei der Ladedruck der Verbrennungsluft nach dem Austritt aus dem Verdichter (8) bis zum Eintritt in den Brennraum der Brennkraftmaschine (1) verringert wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist eine Verteilerrohrlänge in Abhängigkeit von einem äquivalenten Verteilerrohrdurchmesser derart bemessen, dass eine Verringerung des Ladedruckes innerhalb der Luftsauganlage (3) durch eine Expansion erzielbar ist, wobei die Expansion teilweise im Plenum im jeweiligen Saugrohr (7) und/oder innerhalb des Verteilerrohres (4) stattfindet.
