The disclosed washing machine comprises: a case; a tub positioned inside the case; a drum rotatably provided in the tub; and a damper which is provided between the case and the tub, and which reduces vibration transmitted from the drum to the case, wherein the damper includes: a cylinder coupled to one from among the case and the tub; a piston which has least a portion movably inserted into the cylinder and which is coupled to the other from among the case and the tub; a friction member for encompassing at least a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the piston; an elastic member encompassing the friction member, and having an inner periphery that is reduced such that elastic force is applied to the friction member, thereby allowing the friction member to be pressed toward the piston; and a pusher which is in contact with the elastic member, and which spaces the elastic member from the cylinder so as to reduce the elastic force applied by the elastic member to the friction member.

    摘要: Provided is a base isolation unit usable repeatedly and in environments without electricity, and achieving isolation from seismic vibration while keeping stiffness in conditions other than earthquakes. The base isolation unit includes a vibration-source connector (12) to be connected with a structure subjected to seismic vibration, an isolated-object connector (41) to be connected with an object to be isolated from vibration, and located at a predetermined distance from the vibration-source connector in a predetermined base isolation direction, and a movement regulator (3). The movement regulator (3) is located between the vibration-source connector (12) and the isolated-object connector (41) and includes an elastic body (8a), (8b). The elastic body is applied with a preload and is subjected to a pressure caused by an external force in the base isolation direction. The movement regulator (3) keeps the distance unchanged when the external force is equal to or less the preload, and changes the distance by making the vibration-source connector (12) movable when the external force exceeds the preload.
