摘要: Described herein is a control system for a vehicle having an infinitely variable transmission (IVT) having a ball planetary variator (CVP), providing a smooth and controlled operation. In some embodiments, the vehicle is a fork lift truck. An operator commands a brake pedal, an accelerator pedal, and a direction switch (or gear selector), which are evaluated by the control system to determine a current operating state of the vehicle. Some operating states include, forward drive, reverse drive, vehicle braking, automatic deceleration, inching, power reversal, vehicle hold, and park, among others.

The method may include receiving (104) a signal indicating that a pedal (21) of the work vehicle has been depressed, wherein the work vehicle is initially traveling in a first direction up an inclined surface such that at least one clutch (52, Rl) of the transmission is engaged. In addition, the method may include reducing a pressure (106) within the at least one clutch after receiving the signal in order to decelerate the work vehicle in the first direction and engaging (108) a parking brake (70) of the work vehicle as the work vehicle reverses direction and travels in a second direction down the inclined surface.

摘要: A storage section stores inching characteristic information. The inching characteristic information defines a relationship between an inching operation quantity and an inching characteristic value. The inching characteristic value is a value dependent on pilot pressure that is reduced through inching control. A computing section references the inching characteristic information to thereby compute, from the inching operation quantity detected by the inching operation quantity detector, a command value to the pilot pressure control valve. In the inching characteristic information, a rate of lowering the inching characteristic value when the inching operation quantity is within a first range (R1) is greater than a rate of lowering the inching characteristic value when the inching operation quantity is within a second range (R2) greater than the first range (R1).
