Abstract:
Disclosed are biaxially oriented, multilayered films, wherein said films may include a core layer comprising linear, low-density polyethylene, and the core layer is optionally cavitated. Said films may further include a first skin layer on a first side of the core layer, and a second skin layer on a second side of the core layer, wherein the first skin layer and the second skin layer comprise thin layers of linear, low-density polyethylene of a same or different type. Further, said films may include an aqueous-based primer on an outer surface of the second skin layer, wherein the outer surface faces away from the core layer. Further still, said films may include a sealant coating layer on the first skin layer and a barrier coating layer on the second skin layer, wherein the sealant coating layer and the barrier coating layer are aqueous-based.
Abstract:
A flexible hose for transporting fluid, particularly a flexible garden hose for transporting water. The hose comprises: at least one inner layer (10) made of a first elastic polymeric material; at least one outer layer (20) made of a second elastic polymeric material; at least one textile reinforcement layer (30, 40) interposed between said at least one inner layer (10) and at least one outer layer (20). The at least one inner layer (10) and the at least one outer layer (20) are reciprocally coupled to form a unitary tubular member (50) internally to which the at least one textile reinforcement layer (30, 40) is embedded. The unitary tubular member (50) has an elasticity such to automatically elongate upon the working pressure given by the liquid flowing therethrough to increase its original length and such to automatically recovery once the working pressure stops for assuming again the original length. The at least one textile reinforcement layer (30, 40) is susceptible to move from a rest configuration that has when the working pressure stops to a working configuration that has when said unitary tubular member (50) elongates upon the working pressure and vice-versa.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a pipe for forming air flow pipelines in a structure that comprises a flexible tube (10) made from composite material, said tube having, on the length of same, sections (11) for which the wall of the tube (10) is stiffened by means of structural elements (13) made from a rigid composite material incorporated into the wall of the tube (10). Said structural elements are configured and arranged at the surface of the tube in such a way as to form a lattice framework surrounding the wall of the tube. In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the pipe further comprises electrical conductors (21, 22), disposed longitudinally on the wall of the pipe, said electrical conductors having a straight path (21) at the stiffened sections (11) of the pipe and a meandering path (22) at certain of the non-stiffened sections of the pipe (12), said meandering allowing the conductor to tolerate the possible twisting of the pipe when it is installed in the structure.
Abstract:
A rotary cylindrical mold member and a method for its production, is adapted to be used in a system for molding three-dimensional products from a mass of one or more food starting materials which are suitable for consumption. The method includes preparing at least one mold body forming part of the cylindrical outer surface of the mold member, wherein one or more recessed mold cavities are formed. Subsequently preparing a support member defining one or more fluid channels, recessed in the support surface Heat emitting parts or particles are provided close to the inner surface of the mold body and/or the supporting surface of the support member. Energy is provided to the heat emitting parts or particles, thereby causing the parts or particles to emit heat and thereby locally melt the adjacent porous first plastic and the second plastic to obtain a weld and thereby secure the support member and the mold body to each other.
Abstract:
An irrigation and suction tip for laparoscopic surgery having an increased range of transport within a surgical cavity during laparoscopic surgery. The tip moves in a circumferential trajectory rather than linearly when a surgeon is irrigating and suctioning tissue. The tip is substantially resilient, withstanding great force and pressure during irrigation and suction procedures. The tip is bowed, having a pair of straight portions, a short distal portion and a long proximal portion joined by a bowed portion, the bowed portion allowing the distal portion to rotate, circumscribing a large area. The bow is limited so that the tip moves within a narrow wall of a cannula of a trocar.
Abstract:
In some aspects, a system for producing a graft device can include a rotating assembly, a polymer delivery assembly, a controller and a diagnostic assembly. The rotating assembly can be constructed and arranged to rotate a tubular conduit. The polymer delivery assembly can be constructed and arranged to receive a polymer and deliver a fiber matrix comprising the polymer about the tubular conduit. The controller can be constructed and arranged to control the polymer delivery assembly and the rotating assembly. The diagnostic assembly can be constructed and arranged to detect an undesired state of at least one of the system or the graft device. Methods for producing a graft device are also provided.
